The essence of Bodegas Lapazaran

Bodegas Lapazaran reflects generations who have understood the land as a living legacy. Located in a 19th-century farmhouse built in 1875, our winery maintains the traditional spirit that has always characterized life in the vineyards of Biscay. Our story is that of a family project that has preserved the identity of a unique territory.
Led by José Lapazaran, a winegrower and winemaker deeply connected to his land, our philosophy is based on admiration for what nature so generously offers. For us, making txakoli is not just a profession; it is a way of life, a profound respect for the environment, and a constant pursuit of excellence.

A privileged environment that defines our wines
Our wines are the fruit of a harmony between nature, climate, tradition, and expert hands. Each bottle reflects the sensitivity of a family project that respects natural cycles and, from its inception, has maintained a firm commitment to sustainability. We work with responsible practices both in the vineyard and in the winery, guaranteeing production that is respectful and consistent with our environment.

Sustainable commitment from the start
Sustainability is not a strategy, but a way of life. Since 2016, we have operated under an ecological model consistent with our beliefs. Since 2018, the winery's facilities have been powered by 100% green energy thanks to a photovoltaic panel system that reduces our environmental impact and reaffirms our commitment to Mother Earth.
The connection between tradition and sport is reflected in the figure of José Lapazaran, 27-time champion of the Basque Country in various disciplines of Basque rural sports. His strength, discipline, and respect for his roots inspire wines full of character, like our emblematic Lapazaran 27.
